Workshop - Screenprinting - February 3, 2018

Saturday, February 3, 2017, 10am - 4pm

Class size limited to ten people. $100 per person. Ages 14 and up.

at The Bird Machine print shop in Skokie, IL.

We will work collectively on printing a poster designed by Jay specifically for this class. We'll discuss the thought process that goes into designing a print, then cut rubylith, burn screens, and print an edition of less than 100 prints using four screens. We will hand-pull prints, and will also use the semi-auto press, and then we'll cover clean-up. Each participant will do hands-on work (and should come dressed appropriately) and will leave with a signed print from the edition. All materials included, but you're welcome to bring a drink or snack to share. Class fee is non-refundable after six days before the Workshop.

The Fine Print (in fancy italics, like we're whispering): Late cancellations will be transferable to a different open session IF the cancelled space is able to be filled before the Workshop. Meaning: if you contact us the day of the Workshop to say you missed your flight (for example), then we will post to Facebook that we've got an open spot. You are also welcome to try to find someone to take the spot. If someone buys that spot, you will be able to transfer your registration to the next open session of your choosing.
